Ash is a glutton for sex, drugs, blood, money--pretty much anything that's ever been offered him. When he was nine he learned the fine art of killing without a trace, and when he was ten he learned how to pick the ones with the most cash. Later on, his dad taught him about girls--showed him what a woman will do for you if you show her your teeth and tell her what they're for. In the next couple years he'd learn the price of reliable X, and how to get it for free, and he'd learn just how many pints--how many vermin--you could drink before some of it started to come back up.

Now, there's Mary-Lynnette, a girl who makes him feel guilty and dirty and wrong but leaves him begging for more. And she makes him think he might be a glutton for love, too.
