Imperative

Down in the dark wet place, Stefan thought about blood.

He was up to his neck in water, thinking about how good Elena's throat had tasted under his tongue and how her life had warmed him. Damon had taken that away. He was so cold now, so alone...

He thought about what Damon would feel like underneath him, trapped, struggling as Stefan found the artery and bit deep. His brother's body would jerk beneath him but Stefan wouldn't let him escape, never, ever.

Stefan took gulps of the putrid water around him, even though it made him hurt deep inside.
