Hogwarts taught the Threefold Kiss in Advanced Coven Protocol, but of course Hermione read about it two years prior, by accident, while researching how to make poppets with hemacite.

She didn't care about the definition; the mere words caught in her mind, evoking a vivid image. She quickly scanned the page, absently shaking her head, then let the book fall shut.

That night she met Ron and Harry in the Prefects' bathroom, making sure that no one else could get in. "I want to try something new," she told them, her quiet tones expanding on the tiled walls. "Come here."
