A drabble that pushes the limits of what a drabble can be. A sort of horribly breathtaking slice of Nine's life, of literally facing consequences and having to move on. Lovely.

The basic premise of this story isn't especially original, but it's all made up for because the characterization and the dialogue is fabulous. This takes every Nine/Rose fic written thusfar and turns them completely upside down. There's an underlying darkness in this that is very, very appealing.

Flowers for the Doctor
This is an AU...yet not really, because it just stretches the potential of writing in a time-traveller's universe. I love the narrative in this, and the simple subtle little symbols and touches that make the whole thing feel very appropriate and poignant. It has an almost poetic quality to it.
